Icons for Awareness

For this project, I chose to focus on domestic violence by creating a set of icons that illustrate the 10 signs of unhealthy love. Many people stay in harmful relationships, believing they deserve the love they have—or that their situation isn't “bad enough” compared to others. I wanted these icons to serve as a visual wake-up call, helping individuals recognize unhealthy patterns in their partners—or even in themselves.

To reflect that abuse is not limited by gender, I designed the figures in the icon set to be intentionally genderless. My goal was to create a tool that encourages awareness, self-reflection, and early recognition of abuse—before someone gets seriously hurt.
